We machine plugs that fit perfectly into the Glock 17L weight reduction cavities, they're then secured by three 6x32 screws that have been dabbed with rocksett. These plugs allow us to perform an optic cut at standard depth and in regular placement.

Here's some extra info that you may find useful:

- Rocksett is a thread locker that is regularly used to secure muzzle devices to something like an AR-15. It is temperature resistant up to 2,015 degrees faranhite. Rocksett withstands oils, fuels, acids, and alkalis. It is only removable by water soaking for upwards of 24 hours.

- The 6x32 screws installed into the side of the slide are the same type of steel screws that are used for our optic cuts. They're a bit overkill for this use case, but we figure, "better safe than sorry".
